Box trucks come with lift gates and are equipped with pallet jacks to permit the operator to move freight from the lift gate into or out of the truck. The liftgate also permits the truck to serve customers that do not have dock facilities. The 24 foot truck pictured has a GVWR of 33,000 lbs and a capacity of 16,000 lbs. Box trucks are used to transport medium to large sized freight including chemicals and other products that the shipper wants protected from the weather. Other types of freight include drums, palletized boxes and bags and machinery.
